Sun Signs

When discussing your Astrological sign, you are talking about your Sun Sign, which is regarded by most as their primary Zodiac sign. This sign denotes your most immediate characteristics when a person becomes acquainted with you, its your basic demeanor and dictates most of your personality attributes. We have more than one sign. We also have a moon sign and an ascending sign. These three signs together speak to the type of person you are at your root. We must really look at everyone's differences then dig much deeper. Figuring out what your Sun sign is is just the beginning.

The Moon & Its Immediate Affects

The moon rules Cancer.  Cancer is the 6th sign of the Zodiac.  If you think about the fact that Earth's moon regulates and controls the tides on Earth, its has colossal affects on personality and our emotional reactions.

The moon controls the tides. Our bodies are made up of a staggering fifty-five to sixty percent of water.  Males have 55 percent water mass and women, 60 percent.  Biologically, we can say that women are usually more emotional. This has a direct correlation to the moon and the tides!

The moon most profoundly affects water signs: Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio. The moon is very much related to feminine energy. Its your emotional side even if you are male, especially men born under the feminine signs: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.

Another interesting fact is that Bipolar Disorder is often successfully treated with Lithium.  Its quite simple. Lithium is a salt !  Its not surprising that it regulates emotion.  Could it be that this disorder is just a disorder absorbing or generating salts needed in the brain?  Scientists don't know, but we can only speculate at this time.  They actually do not know how or why it works.  It was an accident when it was discovered!  There is a reason why mentally ill folks used to be aclled lunatics years ago.  It may be barbaric to say so, but people had their reasons, and pehaps they had instincts we have educated out of ourselves!

I'm also a firm believer that if a woman gets her menstrual period during a full moon, it can go badly!  I am sure there are some of you readers who can vouch for that!
